Terms of Service
Effective date: March 2026 · TaxTrack
Please read these terms carefully before using TaxTrack. They govern your use of the Service and include important disclaimers about tax estimates.
Acceptance of terms
By accessing or using TaxTrack (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
These terms apply to all users of TaxTrack, including visitors, registered users, and paying subscribers.
We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Description of service
TaxTrack is a financial planning tool designed to help freelancers, independent contractors, and small business owners track invoice income, estimate quarterly tax liability, and manage payment deadlines.
The Service includes invoice upload and AI-powered field extraction, a quarterly revenue and tax dashboard, year-over-year comparisons, and estimated payment reminders.
TaxTrack is a planning and estimation tool, not a tax filing or accounting service. Features and availability may change as the product evolves.
Tax disclaimer
TaxTrack provides estimated tax calculations for informational purposes only. All figures shown — including estimated tax liability, quarterly payment amounts, and net income — are estimates based on simplified models and the data you provide.
These estimates are not tax advice. They do not account for all possible deductions, credits, alternative minimum tax, self-employment tax nuances, state-specific rules, or your full financial picture.
You should consult a qualified CPA, enrolled agent, or tax professional before making any tax payment decisions. TaxTrack is not responsible for underpayment penalties, overpayments, or any tax consequences arising from reliance on our estimates.
IRS deadlines shown in the application are provided for informational convenience and may not reflect your individual filing situation. Always verify dates directly with the IRS or a tax professional.
User responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the accuracy and completeness of the data you enter or upload. TaxTrack's calculations are only as accurate as the information provided.
You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure. You must not share your login with others or allow unauthorised access to your account.
You must not use the Service to upload malicious files, attempt to reverse-engineer our systems, or interfere with other users' access.
You represent that you are at least 18 years old and legally permitted to enter into this agreement in your jurisdiction.
Free and Pro plans
TaxTrack offers a Free plan with limited invoice uploads and core dashboard features. No credit card is required for the Free plan.
The Pro plan offers unlimited invoices, email reminders, and priority support. Pro plan features and pricing are described on the Pricing page.
We reserve the right to change plan features, limits, and pricing with reasonable notice. Existing paid subscribers will be notified at least 30 days before any price increase.
Payment terms
Pro plan subscriptions are billed monthly or annually through Stripe, our third-party payment processor.
All prices are in USD. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date.
Refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis. Contact legal@taxtrack.app within 7 days of a charge if you believe it was made in error.
TaxTrack does not store payment card details. All payment information is handled securely by Stripe.
Prohibited uses
You may not use TaxTrack to process data on behalf of others without their explicit consent.
You may not use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service.
You may not attempt to gain unauthorised access to other users' accounts or to our infrastructure.
You may not use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Limitation of liability
TaxTrack is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or produce accurate tax outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, TaxTrack and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim arising from the use of TaxTrack shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD if you have not made any payment.
Termination
You may cancel your account at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period for paid plans.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in abusive behaviour, or remain inactive for extended periods.
Upon termination, your data will be deleted according to the schedule described in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to terms
We may revise these Terms of Service at any time. We will notify registered users of material changes via email at least 14 days before they take effect.
The effective date at the top of this page will be updated whenever terms change. Your continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
